Testimonials

  • My mates and I can thoroughly recommend. A very friendly company, everything was arranged perfectly for our 4 day trip exploring the wonderful country of Lithuania. We go somewhere every year since 23 years, and this was the first time using e-bikes. It was also one of the best! The bikes supplied were excellent. All my communications with Saulius the owner were easy and friendly and very efficient. Easily a 10 out of 10 experience. Nei Watson, Great Britain, 2022
  • Dear Baltic Bike Travel Team, We would like to thank you very much for the perfect organization of the bike tour from Vilnius to Tallinn. Everything worked out great - even the weather played along with sun, sun, sun. Igor was a great travel companion who did his job confidently in every situation - with a high level of commitment and obvious joy. We are taking home many very good impressions from the three Baltic states. Gitta and Steffen Hoy, Germany, 2021 (self-guided supported cycle tour of the Baltics: from Vilnius to Tallinn, SG11)
  • I was part of Ann Scolnick's tour from Tallin to Vilnius.  I was extremely pleased and satisfied with our tour. The organization, and hotels were excellent.  Our meals outside of the hotels were better than the ones provided in the hotels.  The best part of our tour was our guide Vaida!  She was exceptional, in fact better than any guide I have had during any of my extensive travels.  I will recommend your company to my friends, and hope they also will be lucky enough to have such a wonderful guide.

  • The cycling trip has been the highlight of the year my life :)  for me. It was 10/10 all the way. I wouldn't change a thing and have told my friends they should go.
Thank you so much for an incredible experience. I knew little about your part of the world . . . and now I only want to know more. The Curonian Spit is beautiful. It's all beautiful.
Plus, with the help of Redas and Igor I was able to make a detour and find the house my uncle built where my mom lived in the Kaliningrad Oblast until 1945.
Kudos to each of you for making me feel welcome and for anticipating and meeting my interests and needs. Seriously, you guys are amazing!!

  • My wife and I loved the Baltic self-guided tour of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.  The route selected meant each day had a good piece of riding on quiet roads or bike paths through interesting countryside plus stops in all of the major cities and towns.  Our small group got on very well together.
Simon Flowers, Switzerland, 2015 (self-guided tour of the Baltics: Tallinn to Vilnius)
  • Yes we had a good trip. Saw some nice nature and pleasant villages. The hotels were also good. And the bikes. The driver drove us fast and safe from / to Riga. And we were lucky with the weather. Just a few drops of rain the last day. Mostly sunny. It rained a lot more in Sweden during that week. Best regards,
Hans Brandtberg, Sweden, 2013 (tour SG1, along the Lithuanian Seaside)
  • Hi Saulius, We had a great time on our trip, and would recommend you to anyone. If you ever figure out how to do a Helsinki - Tallinn via St Petersburg ride, we'd be in!"
Richard Seton, USA, 2014 (self-guided tour of the Baltics: Tallinn to Vilnius)
  • Our cycling-group has spent 10 days in Lithuania and explored your country on Baltic Bike Travel route “Vilnius-Curonian Spit-Klaipeda" – we all want to thank you again for your efforts and great assistance in planning and organizing our individual intentions to realize our this years cycling idea.
Ludwig Enser, Germany, 2012 (tour SG2, Lithuania – from the capital to the Seaside)
  • Now we are back from a most interesting and well-organized "Baltic Capital City" guided bicycle tour. We have cycled in France, Italy, Scotland, Spain, Portugal, Hungary, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Greece, Germany, the Czech Republic and Ireland in all kinds of landscapes ... so we have some guided cycle tours to compare with. My husband and I are so very satisfied with the whole tour. It was just what we expected except for some extra positive factors...
    Anita Bostrom-Baversten, Sweden, 2011 (tour G1)
  • Wishing to see a part of the world we knew little about, we 6 friends took a chance on BalticBike and were not disappointed. We had great support on our custom trip from Vilnius to Tallinn, including the support we had for an unexpected trip to the emergency room in Lithuania.  The contrast of the capital cities and the rural national parks was visually impressive.  We would not hesitate to recommend BalticBikes, professionally managed from start to finish.

Tour Planning

For your personalized and memorable cycling tour. It means that we design bike tours to take you on the most appealing cycling routes, as much as possible away from major roads and along beautiful scenic trails where you can experience more nature and famous cultural places of interest.

Your travel documents will include detailed maps and informative material about your travel route so that you can find information about places of interest you will see along the way. Take the time and be free to enjoy your own personalized travel experience.

Tour documents

As a customer of Baltic Bike Travel, you will always receive by E-mail a confirmation with a hotel list and pre-tour information.

When booking a self-guided or half-guided bike tour, you will receive additionally a tour program with route maps and trip notes in advance by E-mail or printed copy with city guides related to your tour (one package per room) at the begining of the tour. GPS tracks are available on request for use with your own personal navigation equipment like a smart phone. If booking rental bikes on all self-guided tours, including the supported ones, you will always receive a waterproof handlebar bag with a smart phone/map holder as part of the rental equipment.

When joining a group bike tour, at the first hotel you will get an information package with luggage tags, trip notes, maps and city guides related to the tour itinerary.

Accommodations

We always reserve high quality accommodation for you to enjoy your holiday. Hotels, guesthouses and B&B's we have selected are known for their comfortable rooms, hearty breakfast and cosy atmosphere. Some of them are typical in the region while in some places they are local landmarks.

On our cycle tours we mainly use very nice 3* (in some places 4*), mostly Comfort and First-class hotels which are highly recommended due to their comfort, location and ambience.

When staying in big cities where often our tours start and finish, for example, Vilnius, Riga, Tallinn, Warsaw, we always choose for you centrally located hotels. For your convenience we always offer extra nights at the same tour hotels before and after the tour.

Luggage transfer services

We are glad to provide you with our luggage transfer services from hotel to hotel on most of our bike tours. All guided and self-guided supported tours offered on fixed depature dates include this service as the standard package while on other self-guided tours this service is offered optionally as extras.

On self-guided tours your luggage is transported to the next hotel usually between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM. You will be asked to leave your luggage marked with Baltic Bike luggage tags at the hotel reception before 10:00 AM for pick-up. On our self-guided tours you are welcome to bring up to two luggage pieces per person at no more than 30 kg / 66 lbs in total.

On half-guided tours your luggage often is transported by the support vehicle, thus your driver takes care of the luggage transport and your transfers between the hotels and riding destinations.
